I never realized how beautiful the flowers of Black Mondo Grass are.

Hydrangea Quickfire blooms are always a welcome sight in your garden.

The clock tower has been decked for the summer.

Hakonechloa macra (all-gold in this photo) is my most favorite ornamental grass. It’s like bacon – it makes everything better.

Acer palmatum Moonbeam foliage pops against the all-gold Hakone grass.

Brunnera macrophylla Jack Frost shines beside all gold. This is the first year that I have seen extra-large foliage.

False solomon seal and Ligularia dentata Britt Marie Crawford make a great pairing here. The ligularia grows even larger towards the middle of summer.

Hosta August Moon shines with the heat and sun in front of Ligularia dentata Britt Marie Crawford. This healthy clump is about 6 years old.
