In answer to Monday ’s position ( give the birds),Denise Dyko of Millbrook , New York , sent in these photograph of some wildlife in her garden . She says , “ If you supply enough of a fete for the birds , you might invite bigger guest that feed on the backyard bird themselves . My garden is less than a after part of an Akko in a modest Greenwich Village but the hawks find it an adequate hunting ground — specially the immature war hawk , who do n’t seem to mind a bench or a birdbath as a perch . The sharply - struggle hawk is in a turgid spruce that towers above the bench . ” Thanks , Denise , for sharing your visitors with us !
