Happy Monday , everyone ! Today ’s photo are from Jacky and Lynn Swenson in Grafton , Wisconsin . Jacky says,“In 2003 , my married man Lynn and I bought a newly - built nursing home with three acre of land near Lake Michigan in the townsfolk of Grafton . There was only a driveway … no sidewalks , lawn , or hardscape . The weeds grew up to the threshold .
It had formerly been a farm sphere , and we hale out old fence posts , biting telegram , dead tree , and junk that were leave behind . Since we both develop up on Iowa farms and have a passion for planting and watching thing grow , we make a good squad . This also means that if one of us comes up with an estimation , there is no one to “ put on the brakes ” and we have done some jolly big projection , including building two pool stock with Pisces and planting piles of tree diagram , bushes , and bloom . We have poke every cakehole ourselves for each tree diagram , bush , and plant . Sometimes our idea put our muscles to the trial run , but it is all worth it in the end result .
We care a lot of flowers touching each other so your eye just flows along , but I still like to keep it reasonably sizable and so I do a destiny of slue back and deadheading . I would call our garden style “ Controlled enthusiasm ” ! My husband Lynn has done all the hardscape work all by himself … brickwork , pond comprehend with rental equipment , and laying the stones and way .

After nine years , he and I now have a serene Eden that we enjoy each and every daytime . Incidentally , you will note that there are several patios and lots of chairs , which are great places to enjoy the quiet beauty of nature and have a drinking glass of wine . When our champion sit by the pool , they always comment that it is so passive . We love it here ! ”
Wow , Jacky – stunning . I am amazed at how much you ’ve achieve in 9 long time !
- Jacky and Lynn sent in so many photos that I ’m split up them up . remain tuned for tomorrow ’s post , where you ’ll see her beautiful pond , among other things . * * * *
