Studies have show how significant tree diagram vaccination with fungi is for trees , thoughnot for all trees .
I squeal . I do n’t normally vaccinate trees or much of anything . In fact , I ’ve not even inoculated my beans / peas / lentils with atomic number 7 - fixing bacteria , though for the most part they ’ve done well without it ( I believe this is because I ’ve get multiple specie growing in my area [ opprobrious medic , genus Desmodium , etc . ] that have family relationship with various rhizobacter that should also colonize my other leguminous plant ) . of late I picked up some ecumenical legume inoculant and I ’ll be using it this springiness .
But of course , that ’s not fungus . There ’s a circumstances I take to see and search in that arena . I ’ve follow to realise how important that Kingdom is and I ’ve actively seek to encourage its comportment via leaving logs scatter about , shredding and burying mushroom I ’ve found on walk into the mulch of myfood forest , buryingcompost , pouring on compost tea , etc . I ’ve also touched on fungus ’s importancehereandhere .
Though I have n’t by design used a known inoculant when engraft , I ’ve taken to mix in a bunch of finished and half - finished compost in my tree planting hole .
I ’m always secret plan for an experiment , though I am a cheapskate . If you do attempt with tree , finger gratis to share the termination and I ’ll happily post them here . I ’ll also brand on how my tree diagram planted with compost do compared to ones planted in straight crap .
