Veggies and more in a California garden
My name is Bethany Davis , and I be in Southern California . My gardening experience is pretty varied . I originate up in rural Wisconsin , where my female parent ’s in - priming vegetable garden was big than some entire place here . When I first arrived , I landed smack dab in suburban area . My first home with my husband was a condominium , and my “ garden ” was a 10×6 cementum patio , so I did container gardening . In June we buy our first dwelling , and I find myself out in the canyons of Orange County , which is rural , wild , sensational , and rocky as all get out . It ’s nothing like I ’ve garden in before !
This beautiful exposure is of my Mammoth Melting scratch pea .
Though the previous exposure may wait like the pea plant was placed for esthetic exhibit , it is actually part of a miniature teepee ( or tee - pea , hah ) that I built with my three - year - old in judgement . I wanted her to have a little comestible hideout in my garden . I started this one as an experiment and project that if she like it and the plants grew , we could go full size of it .

At three years old , my little gardening supporter already has opinions on what to implant and where .
Rosemary(Salvia genus Rosmarinus , Zones 7–10 ) in full bloom
gay efflorescence of lantana(Lantanacamara , Zones 8–11 or as an annual )

There is great deal of solid food being produced in this garden , from carrot tocitrus , with room for a charming turtle statue .
The rocky landscape painting of rural California is nothing like Wisconsin , but gardening carries on anywhere !
