Happy Monday , everyone ! Let ’s startle the hebdomad with something howling . Remember back in March when Anne Engelking Wellman sent in that playfulness television of her garden accompany by her grandchildren ’s soundtrack ? Refresh your memoryHERE . Today she ’s back with a 2014 video , and it ’s so , so nice . — SEE THE NEW picture HERE—.
Anne says,“This is my second television of our backyard cottage garden in Newark , Delaware . Each year begin with My Definite Plan : “ be more conservative , grow fewer things ” and “ keep the study manageable ” since I do all the gardening except pout . But that plan quick fall by the roadside when the come catalog get in showing plants that shout out to be experienced . I try out to define myself to “ a few experimentals . ” This year those included : Love in a Mist , Sweet Williams , Carnations , ‘ Carbon ’ Tomatoes ; ‘ Magesty Red ’ Lettuce , Commelina and some others . Everything survived since it was a staring growing time of year this yr in our state – no drought , no extreme heating .
Each year I ’ve also “ borrowed ” more of my husband ’s lawn for flowers . Next yr ’s side yard I hope to plough into a wild flower garden , but this year I ’m do do with a mini - wildflower garden by the larger pond in the backyard .

The video include two pictures of our 200′ X 50′ backyard prior to the pool ’ mental synthesis when it was open space with Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree and yews along the back and sides . For some ground , the yard , now dissever into areas , seems larger to the eye than it did before it was intemperately plant . The ponds have sum fascinating wildlife not seen before by us , ( though I never caught on film the bang-up down Hero of Alexandria who has us on his path and capture some of our goldfish and frogs . )
In this year ’s video are some of the Delaware wildlife and a few “ wild ” garden activities just for sport . ( The garb - up costumes are from a trunk of apparel I ’ve saved since my childhood some 50 - 60 geezerhood ago . ) The melodious backcloth is all by the grandchild , the picture were contract with my sometime Canon S95 , and I distort my aging neurons putting the video together with iMovie . ”
Anne , we require one of these every single year . Your garden is gorgeous , your grandchild amazing . I imagine every time I ’m stressed out I ’ll just revisit this postal service and launch the picture . It was that unbend . Well done ! ! The hemangioma simplex tasted grand … .. and it ’s a good thing you put that fence up ! Wow!Again , — SEE THE NEW VIDEO HERE —
